HEIDI GUBALA BIO 1
A Licensed Cosmetologist since 1984, Ms. Heidi Gubala of Raynham, Massachusetts (MA) has taught Cosmetology at BMC Durfee High School with the dedication and commitment of an extremely talented Instructor. Completing her Certification at Fitchburg State College and the University of Massachusetts in 1999, Ms. Gubala has achieved what few Instructors can only dream of. An impressive 100% of students under her tutelage who have undergone the State Board Cosmetology Exam have passed. Employed by the Fall River Public Schools System as a Cosmetology Teacher, Ms. Gubala has been with the BMC Durfee High School since 2009.
Heidi Gubala and the senior students of BMC Durfee High School see to it that younger students in the program are able to obtain more than enough knowledge on professional communication and customer service skills, along with valuable salon services skills including: shampoo and blow dry; OSHA Certification; shampoo, cut and style; haircut; highlights; hair color; permanent wave; facial; waxing; manicure; and braiding. In other words, Ms. Gubala empowers students in the program to be able to easily establish a strong reputation in the salon services industry via highly-skilled professional services.
Ensuring that the Cosmetology program at BMC Durfee is consistently of topnotch quality, Heidi Gubala works closely with her students in all areas of the beauty industry such as: cutting techniques; most contemporary hair styles; nail and skin care; various chemical services; professionalism and communication skills; safety and various issues that come with working in the beauty sector.
What Ms. Gubala considers her highest achievement is however, not of a shallow “cosmetic” nature. For this hardworking mother of two girls and wife to Jay Gubala, the greatest accomplishment is seeing her students carve out a remarkable niche in the industry by themselves and using their hard-earned skills to make the world always a beautiful place to live.
